Devil’s Garden Hike

For our last day in the Moab area, Avery decided (Dad had no input) that we were going to do the Devil’s Garden hike.  It is another awesome hike in Arches NP where you travel through sandstone fins finding your way by rock cairns, as most of the path is traveling over rock surfaces with no visible “trail”.  This involved more climbing and scrambling, but we like that stuff.  There was a lot of sand to walk through also which can make the hike tougher. But, it was fine. By doing the whole loop you get to travel on the “primitive trail” which is more of a challenge and thus has many fewer people since it can be a little scary to people who don’t like heights or steep drop offs.   There are many arches to see along the trail including Landscape Arch which is one of the longest in the world at 300-ish feet across.
